Knowing the difference between too much lateral loading and too much body roll is the biggest issue Ive been having. It may not be lifting off the ground. It may be not enough roll bar. Something to think about.... Im not so sure you can immediately tell if its lifting in the friction screen. If you...

2005 Evo MR. Simple bolt-ons, somewhere around 280-300 whp. Self-tuned @ 24psi on 91oct piss water. Mid-high 12s in the 1/4 mile. She's getting torn down next year, not quite sure how far I want to go with it. The plans include a speed density conversion, head work, stroked 2.3 or 2.4 swap, cams, ei...

I messed with it again for a little while last night. After much tinkering with springs, shocks, alignment, differential, and brakes and 30+ laps around Suzuka, I ended up pretty much where I started (the DIY tune). I learned I was pretty much chasing my tail with all the adjustments. The end result...

So keep this in mind, using optimal power bands wont always work, you might end up in between 2 gears on a corner In that case you would sacrifice your 6th gear on the straights by inputing a smaller gear number (taller gear) to make it so that you werent in between gears in the majority of the cor...

Has anyone come up with some soild adjustments to take a controller tune and use it with the wheel? Last night I picked up the R8 for the first time in a while. The last time I had run it was with the controller. If anything, it felt tight with the controller. Now with the wheel, its ridiculously lo...

Yeah I slightly lost it around that corner, then the rest was E-brake inflicted. That thing does some mean drifting when you want it to.

Yeah..I gave up. The previous lap was a 1:33.0 right?
Thanks for the highlight though. I had some other attempts that were much more interesting. |

thats my biggest problem with the wheel.....you cant look around. And without the right stick, photos and such are a PITA. Hope youre in good lobbies with folks that call out their spots. This is generally the main reason I use the cockpit view. With the multiscreen "mod", you at least get...

Yeah, I do try to stay away from the race trans if Im trying to max out other parts of the build and the stock gear setup is decent. Just opt for the sport trans to adjust final drive. Lately Ive been sacrificing the couple of PI points and trying to see the benefits of individual gear tuning. Espec...

even the lines in the chart background dont make sense. At least give me an incremental graph so I KNOW what rpm Im at instead of saying...ehhh it looks like it peaks at 5000-6500 rpm... I just go to the straight at the track Im tuning (typically suzuka for my base tunes) and run it with telemetry u...

hopefully someone else will chime in with a more experienced answer.... First, study the horsepower/torque graph in the upgrade shop. You want to make note of the broadest power range on the curve. The goal is to keep the car in that rpm range as much as possible. Then what I usually do is watch the...

I know the stats that it gives you isnt the most accurate way to judge performance. And I agree that compound is better than width. But I noticed last night that a wider set of tires gave me + .1 braking, yet everything else was the same comparing width and compound within the same PI. Handling asid...
