ok,,, I made the GTO just as listed.. I saved your settings, then I ran the numbers on one of the popular setup calculators out there (one with a credible amount of testing and such) I noticed that your springs are much much softer than the calcs settings.. I ran some tests... first with me behind the wheel ((mind you I suck)) and then some tests with a hired driver behind the wheel... I was able to get faster times as well as the hired driver was able to get faster times with the calc sheets tune... now you car felt smoother, it felt stable and all, I got a little more twitchy feel from the stiffer springs.. but not bad and not enough to be hard to control... both builds handled well..etc.. ((I did use a generic gearing setup just so both tests were on even ground)) what I am trying to do is understand, I am in NO WAY trying to knock your work, I am just trying to learn so that I understand what it is I am doing with a tune, I dont want to copy tunes, I want to be able to make my own and know how to set them for best performance as well as best fit for me and the track... I will post the numbers of the second tune... now when I say faster, almost a second faster, and the only thing that really stood out to me that was way different was the spring settings were huge differences... trans....
